For such sophisticated applications Lika Electronic has developed a full line-up of high precision optical kit encoders in an ultra-compact modular design.
They ideally suit the needs of the full kinematic chain on a robot arm and fit the sequence of joints, from shoulder to end effectors (grippers, needles, or other tools).
Recently Lika has developed the version with the Energy Harvesting Technology to produce electricity and power the multiturn counter.
By virtue of this technology AMM5 is not equipped with multiturn gear mechanisms and even batteries, so the overall footprint and weight can be reduced further compared to common geared multiturn versions.
