CC-Link certified Ethernet encoders open to future automation

Some notes on draw-wire encoders and their new order codes

All you have definitely noticed the changes happened in the order codes of Lika Electronic's products following the installation of the new ERP software at the beginning of January 2023.
In particular most draw-wire encoders have changed their name as well.
In our October newsletter we provide some information to better understand the new code structure and avoid errors when ordering a cable-pulling encoder.

• Measuring lengths from 300 mm (0.984 ft), 1 m (3.28 ft), 2 m (6.56 ft), 5 m (16.4 ft), 10 m
  (32.8 ft), and longer, up to 50 m (164 ft)
• Any type of encoder can be integrated: incremental, absolute, fieldbus, Ethernet, analogue

Lika Electronic has unveiled the new EXO58 and EXM58 series of absolute rotary encoders with Ethernet interfaces. They integrate the Energy Harvesting Technology and offer the most popular Ethernet interfaces available on the industrial market: Profinet, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, POWERLINK, Modbus TCP, and also CC-Link.

SMLA & SMRA absolute modular encoders have been given a complete redesign compared to previous generation and two products are now merged into one: SMRA2.

New EHO58 absolute encoder with Energy Harvesting Technology

Lika Electronic has launched the new EH058 series of absolute encoders equipped with optical scanning and Energy Harvesting Technology. It offers very high resolutions, a variety of mechanical and electrical options, and the SSI and BiSS serial interfaces.

New Ethernet and SSI/BiSS encoders with Energy Harvesting Technology

Spring is the season of fairs, after the Hannover Messe, in May Lika Electronic will attend the SPS Italia in Parma, one of the most important exhibitions for Industrial Automation in Italy (May 23-25, Hall 3 Booth H010).

EXO58 / EXM58 series encoders can be equipped with the most popular Ethernet interfaces available on the industrial market: Profinet, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, POWERLINK, Modbus TCP, and also CC-Link. Singleturn versions provide resolutions up to 18 bits while multiturn versions provide resolutions up to 30 bits. They have axial connector outlet.
EHO58 / EHM58 series encoders have SSI and BiSS interfaces with singleturn resolutions up to 25 bits and multiturn resolutions up to 16 bits.

SMAB's update

The SMAB off-axis modular encoder now offers higher resolution up to 24 bits and adds the BiSS interface. The mechanical characteristics remain unchanged, therefore it is perfectly compatible with the previous version.

SMAR4, The Super Miniature Absolute Modular Encoder

The SMAR4 is the new off-axis absolute modular encoder from Lika Electronic.
It combines an open PCB readhead with an MRA magnetic ring in a very compact assembly.
